                          Textual Analysis
I would have to say that my textual analysis was very constructive, I figured out what techniques that is used in media, for example establishing shots, mise en scene , and close ups  this gave me more knowledge about what is used in media . The research was both helpful in our romantic comedy short film because it help know which angles were used in romantic comedy, it made me understand that close up were used in romantic comedy and establishing shots, close ups was used to make the audience laugh and to show the audience the actors reaction and establishing shots was used to set the scene.

I feel that our filming would be better because most of it was hand held and when we were holding the camera we couldn’t keep it still. My production was successful, we stuck to the storyboard that helped us go over our film bit by bit. We also stuck to our settings to know where we would be shooting our short film. I felt that it was coming together really well and when it came too typing up the Reece we knew as to how things were going run by knowing where our next scenes will be .

I think our angles could have been much better because we didn’t use different types of angles like shot reverse shot and we could have used props to help us to make our film much better and maybe a bit more dramatic even though our short was a romantic comedy. When it came to using the software it became a bit hard because I never used any of the materials they used to edit before like premier pro and the Photoshop software. When it came to editing and putting soundtrack to the short film, I have to admit it wasn’t easy because I didn’t know how to fade one song for one scene.
Our strengths were the angles but our weakness was keeping the camera still and adding soundtrack to the short film which was still ok in the end.

Our audience feedback was great, they said that our angles was good and that we used a lot of different angles, they said that our shots were effective. They enjoyed specific shots of the short film.in edition our editing was great although it did take time to edit .they gave a very helpful constructive criticism that I agree with, for example: the handheld shots we were a bit shaky. That’s because we didn’t use the tripod which I think would have been really for some of our scenes in the short film.

The key improvement we could have made as a group was that we should of tried to shoot the film a bit longer because we had to cut some scenes short and we weren’t able to do some scenes because we had to reach the deadline. I also feel that the communication was good but I should have communicated a bit more to with the group. We could have used other shots to show one person’s point of view or two people’s point of views. Another r key improvement would that we should of used a different camera like we should have used the canon camera because it had better quality than the Diesalar.
